Pickleball North - Improvers Workshop

Group Description :
Pickleball is a cross between tennis and table tennis; it is played indoors on a badminton court. This group is for improvers only. The physical activity is of a vigorous intensity e.g. running for a bus. Your heart and breathing rate is likely to increase to a much faster level, and you will need to breathe deeper. The physical agility is of a high level, requiring rapid changes of movement /direction when responding to the fast movement of the ball. Members will require good decision making skills, enabling them to make wise choices and judgements. Members will need to wear comfortable, loose clothing and gym shoes with a light coloured sole. Coached games and skills will be available, played in a friendly, supportive environment. Its good fun.
This one-day Pickleball workshop is ideal for members who have played Pickleball, but who wish to develop their game further, through focused practice and managed games. Members will have previous experience and be prepared to spend a whole day focusing on developing specific skills, techniques and strategies.
Members will complete the day with managed games to practice skills, a pairs competition, a quiz and the Pickleball challenge.
On court safety will be highlighted in all our activities.
There may be a couple of prizes available.
Note:
Members should bring their own refreshments to stay hydrated, for morning break and for lunch.
