Pickleball is a cross between badminton, tennis and table tennis. It is played indoors on a badminton court. This group is for beginners, improvers and those members who are more experienced. The physical activity is likely to be of vigorous intensity e.g. running for a bus. Your heart and breathing rate is likely to increase to much faster and you you will need to breath deeper. The physical agility is high level, requiring rapid changes of direction, good decision making and reasonable hand-eye co-ordination, which will enable members to make sound judgements, rapid changes of direction when responding to the movement of the ball. Members will require comfortable clothing and gym shoes/trainers with a white/light sole. (To avoid marking the court). Coached games will be available for beginners, played in a friendly, supportive environment and its good fun too! Members are welcome to come and see what it is like before applying to join.
